Anyone know where to get and install AUX input cable in Jazz? or maybe the cable is available outside AU like HK? Wanna use my mp3 player to play music

what kind of plug does the Jazz have for the CD Stacker? If its the same as the Euro, you might be able to use a SNHOND3 http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20825
They sell lots of similar types of adaptors in the US. we just need to find out if the Jazz plug is the same as any other Honda and just buy that plug
Was thinking to contact Honda Japan but I couldn't find a customer service email address at its website...
if someone know Japanese please do me a favour...Thanks!
i have just emailed Soundgate and hope they can provide some info on this. i know there is no jazz/fit in the states but just see what the reply is. i mean there is no harm trying
personally, i reckon the headunit will be using the same kind of plug. as can be seen from the file as follows, SNHOND3 is applicable to most honda models. http://www.soundgate.com/upload/productdocuments/0188.pdf
i hope this can bring good news. i am using itrip now and the sound quality is just not there, but still acceptable to me. of course if there is a better option, i'll go for it.

I kinda like the 04' jazz integrated head unit. A aftermarket mp3 player usually looks crap and tachy and cheap... unless you buy something expensive - like a $500+ mp3 head unit.

i am begining to like the original panel and that is why i am exploring other options instead of changing to a jdm double din panel.
besides, i already have the ipod and therefore it will be good if i can connect it to the headunit and play mp3s. really hope the soundgate adaptor can do the job!

i have taken the hu off and have a look inside just now. i found that we can actually diy the aux input and its actually quite simple. i am going to source for the parts and make 1 tomorrow. the entire job will cost less than $15 or $20. i am trying to get this done below $10. but taking the hu out was a big task and my fingers are hurting now! :(
i shall write a more detail post with pictures and all the things that are required once i get my ipod connected. hopefully i can get everything working by tomorrow evening. :D

the parts only cost me less than $8. i do not need to purchase the rca cables which cost $14 at dick smiths as i got them from a friend for free. so in total if inclusive of the rca cables, it would cost about $22 for this diy.

its jus a normal rca to 3.5mm stereo cable. you should be able to get it cheaper elsewhere but dick smith was nearest to me last night :D

it's not a really good idea actually. there is now a little gab at the bottom of the hu but it's not too visible. can be fixed if i re-do those 2 bolts but i couldn't be bothered at this stage. when it rattles, i'll fix it.

if u can't appreciate other people's time & effort, you should expect replies like that!!!
"too long" as a reply on its own is too rude & shows that you lack character and immature. JA22 gave up his time to share his experience and all you can offer is crap like this???? :thumbdwn: :thumbdwn: :thumbdwn: :thumbdwn: :thumbdwn: :thumbdwn:
it's very simple. if you think it's too long, just don't read it!!!! and keep such smart-axx comments to yourself cos we don't want to know.
ps. to others, sorry for the OT.
thks for supporting me philip
my very intention of sharing this diy seems to have attract some negative feedbacks and i didn't know that this post can cause some stir here. either my diy is totally useless or the guys in this forum are simply too good.
anyway i have deleted my diy post to prevent anymore unhappy posts. i didn't know that sharing in this club can be that difficult. now that i know for myself......

fittaer was still down so i can't find the article either
would anyone else have another copy by chance?
i think the only thing you can do now is wait for it to come back up. fittaer is down due to server problems... and hopefully that will be sorted out sometime soon.
