Ive been calling up places to get my rotored machined...but the thing is...either they dont work on Saturdays or they are too expensive...

i own a dc2r and i was told by Hannys tat dc2r's rotors have to be machined while on the car...and most places i called up dont do this...anyone here know where i can get my rotors machined??

ive been quoted 160 for labour and 22 for every rotor machined (not machined on car) have to be taken out of the car...n yeah...if i want it done on the car...its 175 for one!!! which is insane!! :( but yeha...any help will be appreciated...

cheers guys... :)

maybe time to upgrade your rotors to slotted items....for a very similar price I'd say its well worth it since it sounds like you are using aftermarket brake pads quite abit ?
For the price, DBA make good discs.

Why scrape down something old , when for a similar price you can have something new and better ?

I don't think you have to have your rotors machined on the car if you have an Integra. I think you may have mis understood Charlie,(I don't blame you:D ).

Just take them off your car and get them machined on a lathe. $10-$20. (depending if you pay cash or not, If you know what I mean :D )

hahhaha... yeh i have never herd them being machined on the car before... cause they need to be placed on a lathe and rotated as the surface is being machined back...

there are two types of brake lathes
off-car is a big bench that is like a normal metal lathe
on-car lathes are a machine that bolts to your wheel hub and machines the rotor on the car - much easier job :) (the machines are worth anywhere around $10000-$12000 so machining can cost more - bench lathes are about $9000) some vehicles are only supposed to be machined with an oncar lathe (they get vibration if you use a bench lathe)

guys, how do you think the mobile guys do it? with an on car lathe!
you guys must have some serious labour shortages or something cos your prices are ridiculous. in perth its like 30 bucks a corner to get a mobile guy come and do it. i paid $35 an end to get mine done in a workshop:p
have you checked brakes specialists or are you just calling up general purpose specialists?

I did $70 for the machine a pair of front rotors on my car. No need to take off the rotor. $175 is too expensive.
