hi

I just want to ask,for oem strut bar that on the civic vti-r 99 is bolt on to the shocks or to the body?
if it install to the body, does it effect much for the handling compare to the strut bar install to the shock?

thanks

yep bolts on to the body. remeber its purpose is to reduse torsion (twisting) in the body, which can in turn give better handling around corners.

the oem strut brace is onto the body yes, so it does reduce flex but not as much as a strut brace which is mounted to the shocks.

too stiff fin the front can promote oversteer. i think this is why honda have chosen to make it this way.

i have been in cars with HUGE thick strong front upper strut braces and they turn like shit as a result. normally a good setup is stiff in the front and really stiff in the back

thanks for all the comments

so it's better to get the strut bar that bolt on to the shocks rather than to the body?
is spoon or cusco strut bar have much different with the unnamed brand strut bar?

thanks
