Hi All,

Just have a slight problem with my EK, itz got a damm squeeky clutch. Its prob not a major prob, but heaps annoying when i change gears. Any ideas on how to permanently fix this??

Btw, it only happens during the first 5-10mins of driving... goes away after awhile

Thanks in advance

I also have the same problem. I was told is nothing to worry about but if you want to fix it. Get some WD40 and spray it where the clutch peddle is....

if that dosen't do it, there is a black rubber thing on top of your gearbox, pull it off, spray sum wd40 in it and put it back on. did last week and is all good now:)

If the the noise is coming from the clucth and not the gearbox. why would you need to spray some around the gear box for.......

because thats where the slave cylinder for the clutch is.

Ive been havin this same problem, but doesn't bother me too much. Plus it tends to come and go lol

The squeak is from lack of lubrication from the clutch fork. WD will work but will wear away in a week or so and the noise will come back. Nothing will go wrong with the noise, it's just annoying. Just turn the radio up and just remember to lube it when you get a new clutch installed.

Would it be better to use some silicone spray or something? Ive got the noise in mine, and have put up with it for the last 3 or so years :)

What is the actual cause of this? Is this problem caused by the clutch pedal itself is loose? Is the pedal rubbing against the slave cylinder?

Hahahahah,
Seems like every Civic owner will come across this problem eventually cause i too suffer from "Quacking Civic" syndrome.
