Only had 7 Delivery KM on it. Bit of bad weather though (in melb) so took the car home first. Can't wait to go through some engine break-in sessions.

I follow this method to a certain extent.

See you guys on the road!

Good choice, congrats with the new car.
if it was me, I probably would enjoy the car for the first 10000 km or so before modding the engine..

BTW, one of the accessories I got is the CRV cargo net... and it hooks onto the 4 clips on the boot. Stops stuff from rolling around in the back.

Just drove it for a break-in session.... all I can say is... OMG! I luv it!!! It's a great car!!! I guess I can compare it to my S15 200SX. For some reason, the steering sharpness and response of this Euro is noticably better than my S15 (fitted with cusco strut brace too), imagine when I put a strut bar in the euro!! Also the euro is more composed around corners in the sense that it didn't have strange weight shift feel like the s15 (maybe it's the rear LSD working that I wasn't use to?).

The build quality is of course tonnes better too. But at the end of the day, the S15 is build for the track. It was too harsh for me as a daily driver. The times it would made sense was accelerating out of corners or when it's on boost. Not exactly the ideal scenerios for VIC roads...

The euro just makes total sense to me! OMG! Did I say I luv it!!??

On a side note, there's rattles coming from clip covers on the inside of the rear passenger door handles. But I was able to fix those easily myself.

And I've also notice there's the occasional pull to the right side. My 200sx had a slight pull to the left side. My CRV tracks very straight.

The bridgestone RE040 225/45/17 were delivered with 45psi in them! I quickly drop them down to 36F/34R.

Nevertheless...I still LUV it! Can't wait for the next break in session!

Nice post  This sort of detail is great. The great thing you will find is that the Euro just gets better. I think back to the first few weeks of having the car --- it was great but the engine is immeasurably better over 10,000kms.

In terms of the handling - I agree the Euro changes direction really well. A new rear sway bar makes a big difference too - prob more than you will notice with a strut bar

yfin, when did you first change your engine oil?

Have you done the strut bar and lower arm bar? Did you also do the front roll bar? Or did you just do the rear roll bar first?

Is the whiteline roll bars in silver nowadays for the euro?

it's not free. they charge for the oil and only the labour cost is free

Yeap.. Was totally suprised about having to pay for the oil for the first service...

But what the heck.. Didn't have to pay that much anyways...
