FInally got my euro back, less passenger seat belt and left head light washer.(waiting on parts) Took it for a lap up the old road immediately and loved the CAI's sound...
I have the intention of tracking the euro, maybe 3-4 times a year?
i know mine is an auto.. :thumbdwn: if i had a choice, i woulda gotten a manual, but thats not the point.
current Mods
Injen CAI
anyway current planned mods..
Tein type flex + edfc
Mugen kit(maybe front bumper only)
Front + rear strut Bars
18" rims.
CF GT wing(reckon it look good?)

I'm already planning suspension upgrades. I'm worried abt the internals of the engine.
I did a search on the forum and Oil pressure, oil temperature guages and oil cooler seems a good thing to have, izzit necessary?
and should i get better brake pads? or wait till the OEM ones run out?
what size brake pads fit the euro?

was your car recently in a crash? and why didnt you have the choice between auto and man?

yeah...got into a pretty bad accident, front left smashed.
My sister's got a CRV and we switch cars occasionally and she can't drive manual. thus the auto..

baboo is our Euro track master here. He can give you lots of info about tracking your Euro.
On track, performance and handling enhancing mods are more important than cosmetic mods.. so If you seriously consider do track runs, then coil over suspansion, swaybars, brace bar, engine bay strut bar are essential.. Track grade brake pads are a must.. OEM pads are not enough to survive the high working temperature under track condition. OEM's brake disc and calipers are ok, but if u have spare cash, upgrading them is encouraged. With Spoiler and front lip, unless you are going over 200Km/h for a long period of time, they just add on unnecassery weight to your car. Remember, on the track, weight is your enemy.
have a chat with Baboo, he can give you lots of info.

i'm not really out to get a full on track car..just something that looks good and goes decent on the track...front lip, spoiler are for looks..
just curious abt the various gauges and oil cooler and whatever else is necessary or beneficial..

Ricer wing pictures here: http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21641
Some like it, some don't. Personally if I had the money and was building a CL9 to run in a production car series I'd consider it, otherwise most will be :thumbdwn: to that type of rice on a Euro. That's entirely your call.

Item's that PNR888 mentioned are pretty much necessary for tracking your car the number of time's you're thinking about.

Oil cooler and extra gauges as you suggested are also fairly hard core.
Do a search on "Hidden Diagnostics" on the forum and you'll find you already have a digital temp gauge for the coolant fluid.

Mugen Thermostat, Mugen Thermo Switch, and Mugen radiator cap will also help preserve the engine on the track. Regular oil changes will be a must and once over 20,000km you might consider using a synthetic oil such as Mobil 1 or Motul 300V.

Many other things I could mention but I'll let baboo offer his advice first.....

if you put a GT wing on your car, and the cops see you, you'll get defected...

Don't know about GT wings on a euro... It just doesn't look nice in my opinion... If ur looking for spoilers get the mugen one or as Stephen said the DC5R wing...

At least that those 2 options looks so much betta then a GT wing...

Sulley

i've seen pics of an euro with the DC5 spoiler, i find it kills the sleek lines..
Gt wing is still under consideration.
i reckon a M3 style lip spoiler looks good, i might go with that instead of a GT wing plus less chance of a defect

I really like the Mugen Spoiler.. It doesn't kill the sleek lines of the euro it adds to it.. A lot of ppl say it looks good on my car...

If u don't know what the Mugen Spoiler looks like it looks like this...

I dun think spoilers do any justice on euros. Something smaller than the mugen one maybe, but to be honest imo the euro looks so sleek with kit dropd with no spolier. So fly.

Try imagine Pumz ride without the spoiler? Sooo much hotter! :)

the mugen spoiler has a very particular look to it... for some reason it reminds me of those old duk bill spoilers ppl put on VL commies. For me its m3 lip spoiler or nothing at all

BUMP! Hi guys, I have never tracked before and want to eventually get there. Wanted to ask what are the realistic speeds one can go on track? The reason i ask is that I suspect I may have the shaking problem at high speeds as told in another thread.

Upto 110 km/h its smooth, but haven’t really tested it beyond, any way we can test this safely? (dont want to break the speed limit of course).

If I do have this issues then I will hold off on upgrading other parts and get this sorted out.

At the moment I have RSB whiteline, Cusco front strut bar and lower arm bar (type1). Icebox. Honda UK sports suspension (lowers by 30mm). Have Pirelli P7s, only driven about 13000 and still in great shape. Plan to upgrade brakes (doing research on that) and possibly get the mugen SS.

Thanks

Well it was done by the previous owner :). Found an old thread where he mentioned someone he knew had brought down a show car or something from the UK that had this suspension with the euro r kit, and he bought it off him (along with the euro r kit). This was back in (around) 2006.

Any exhaust mods? And what rims is it running on?

roony

17' rims (aftermarket ones, done previously). No other mods apart from what I listed. Headers and exhaust I dont have plans to change.

Hey guys, for tracking purposes is it a must to upgrade the brake lines?

If it is then anyone know if the Techna Fit Braided Stainless Steel Brake Lines are ADR approved? (cause im ordering something and if I have to eventually buy the brake lines I might as well get it to save on shipping)

Here is the product link.

Not a must to upgrade anything TBH. Its not like a stock car can't be tracked or that you are going there to break record. Just track and get a base time and work the way up for better times.
