In my honest opinion if you have 10-13k to spend on an ls, then sell the ls and get a vtir or even a type r. It would be much better an investment. I understand maybe 5k for an engine conversion into an Ls, but with the money your preparing to spend, just buy sumthing with vtec in it already. I know you probably love your ls to pieces like i do with mine, but i really dont think its worth putting in that amount of money. But thats just my $.02. If you do end up doing it.. do a write up cos that would be awesome. And try Hondwreck in melb ive heard they stock the b18c5. Good luck buddy

You guys do realise that B18C5 is North American spec type R engine, why would you get north american spec.
Get a jap spec B18C (type r motor), they make more power, or just get a b18C7 Aus spec motor, may be hard to find.
If I myself were doing the swap id get a K20A motor from Japan with the 6 speed tranny and swap that in, it's been done so mounting kits are available from the US. If I could find another bare Type R chasis id do that swap.
