is that 400 watts rms or max? How many channels does the amp have?
and what's your budget?

JL Audio sub w0 or w3 comes in mind, but depending on the amp power rating, it might not be enough to power up a w3. And of course it depends on your budget as well.

Hey Danny!

Depends what you are interested in Sound Pressure Level or Sound Quality

SPL = How loud can i get it
SQ = How clear and controlled it sounds

If you want nice Bassy and loud i would just tell you to go get a 15" Rockford sub... (i can't believe i said that)

Otherwise stick with JL (i have a JL12 WO4) nice sub, controlled and send FHRX a message he can fix you up with on in a nice Enclosure

$200 won't get you a JL sub :(

But it will get you a full sik BOSS kit with 2 subs and blue neons all in a box :D
With $200, it will proberly be free to air subs in an enclosure with "breathing holes" in it...

Jason

P.S. There is usually nothing wrong with second hand stuff...
Look in some forums market area might find some cheap subs :D

look on ebay or car audio forums
i've seen JL12w0's for under 200
even a JL12W3 sold for $200 on the forum

is that 200 for the sub alone, or including boxes, cabling & installations?

I would suggest you look for a good 2nd hand sub on that budget.
