the little square thing that holds it in order for it to stay up has snapped off and is slipping to the bottom exposing the thin metal lever. And ive noticed alot of other EG hatches have the same problem. Has anyone figured out a way to make it stay up? Rubberband looks ghey .. i need a more proffesional look.

you guys know wat im talkin about? if not ill post some pics.

cheers

still doesnt look good..

is there a way to remove the whole stock shift boot.. i may just replace it. But it looks like its knitted on there... permanently connected to the bottom.

um er no, get a coke bottle top, drill a hole in it, take knob off. push it on, put boot over it, done.

but take it off all together i think

um its not the bottle, just the cap.

it makes no noise what so ever. u can also use a large washer.

its the best solution. its round and slips on

Why not just replace the broken piece? Couldn't cost that much to replace could it? Just go to a wrecker or Honda and ask them for it???

take the conslole below it off and pull the gear boot up and put a big lot of electricall tape right around where the boot sits n then put it all back down
