Turbo will have better results than just raising (the already high) compression. AVO do turbo kits for the ITR.

DC2 R is a classic n/a motor car :!:
To take the B18C7 engine to a higher state of tune would be a very expensive proposition, because it comes already highly tuned from the factory. But it could done, if $$$ is no object. :P

If u r into outright power, sell it and buy turbo.

Screamin Performance in wollongong NSW turbocharged my brothers gf's ITR and quoted around 5k parts and labour (not too sure about the exact pricing) . nissan t25 turbo, custom manifold, methanol injection, extra injector, 3inch exhaust and a few other things. cant remember if the ecu was chipped...
runs on 4.5psi for daily driving and 9 pounds when wound up. no problems to this day.
dyno charts show 103kW at the wheels but 300+Nm torque.

www.screaminperformance.com

pics of the turbo ITR is there also.

103kw @ wheels on a turbo ITR? ITR would have at least 115kw @ wheels stock. I ran 130kw @ wheels on my Vtir turbo with the stock injectors maxing out on 9psi. Must be a typing error?

Turbocharging a honda (esp a dc2r!) just feels wrong to me.

If you decide to go the turbo option, try to find someone with a turbo'd dc2r and see if they will let you drive it so you can see what it'll be like.

nah its not a typo, thats what the dyno chart says so i dunno. all i know is that its wasted every car its raced.

we have a dc2 type R with 9psi running just short of 200kw at the wheels, complete stock engine ;-) stock type R compression, nice turbo manifold gt30 turbo ! 550 injectors... aftermarket fully tuneable ecu.. and the car pulls hard arse !! one of the best car's iv driven.

Turbo Type r's rock.. but don't cut corners of you will have a broken R
