i got a set of lowered springs which are about 1 coil lower than stock. how many inchs lower will this correspond to when i put them on???

Depends on how thick the coil. my friend chopoed the spring; every one round of coil he chopped, it lowers the car 1.5-2cm

since most road springs are progressive, its impossible to tell how low it will be by the "amount of coils" etc. As the spring is compressed more , the resistence agaisnt obvious compression increases.
Also , same springs can be different heights of "drop" on different cars ( same model but differen car etc)
The only true way to tell is to put them in and find out !

there is no way to tell if they are both out of the car, it is until the weight has been put upon them it will indicate how much different they are, also yeh the thickness of the coil generally indicates how strong/ firm they are. so in theory a lowering spring can be the same height as a standard spring it has to do with the flex and strength of it.
