hey peoplez,
i know every1 always ask the same questions about lowering and springs... but cant seem to find a clear cut answer or opinion.

i looking for new lowered springs, but is first time i ever lowered a car. i been tossing up between 'Whiteline Flatout' springs and ' Superlow King Springs'. Has anyone had any experiences with either of these springs? wat about pros and cons of each maybe??? any advice would apreciated. Whiteline look pretty impressive, but King springs seem to be quite popular.... thanx

I wouldn't touch King springs EVER again - simply because after 12 months of interstate driving they were soft and saggy and useless.

I had whiteline set up on my old ED - full package and I'd give them a hearty thumbs up.

yup - to whiteline springs.

there is 2 major types , and the boys at Whiteline can also make up custom rates or straight/progressive to your desire.

king/kmac are jsut soft "dumping" springs - thats all.

k cool thanks... thing is i can get brand new King springs off ebay for $250 and autobarn says $300 for the whitelines... so would it be worth the little extra from peoples experiences?? p.s. how much to install springs just quickly..

Don't pay over $100 for professional fitting, remember to get a wheel allignment done after it too

to "install " springs at a workshop "by a professional" costs anywhere from $120 up to $300 :(

And, ofcourse get a full alignment after the install

PS if u are in SYDNEY and want a cheap good job installing - PM me

only once the stock shocks die because they've been lowered beyond the extent they were designed to be.
once this happens it does feel shit. your car will bounce

i say whiteline is the way to go, they got more r&d than king springs

speaking of which, went around to various workshops to get a price on installation for me kg/mm springs. one reputaple "fully sik" shop tried to convince me that kg/mm springs were "crap" because he "havn't heard of them" and even asked "what they made in china or somthing", and then proceeded to say "king springs will do a better job, it'll lower your car more than other springs"........

so becareful, theres alot of workshops that talk sh#t

i went round to some workshops today to get quotes and book in for instalation of whiteline springs and founjd many places to be nuts! the local tyre shop, after looking up service book, says will take 4 hours and cost me $300. Another shop quoted the same. Thought was pretty ridiculous as they didnt seem to have any idea.
Although this arvo went to Goodyear service centre near my school. Is like a big professional workshop and they said two hours labour, cost me $146 and a front and rear whell alignment, $64. So just over $200 including wheel alignments is heaps better than other dodge places. is this still good? i booked in for tomororow

Like nipnip said make sure you go somewhere where they know what they talking about or u'll end up rip off bigtime.!
