theres lots of hidden clips. quite hard to explain really, try and get ur hands on a service manual complete with diagrams.

theres a thread with a link to online honda service manuals here somewhere...

try taking the dash out first, and you will see the surrounding screws..

best idea for questions like this , and lots of other answeres, buy a workshop manual, it has all the information there to pull the whole car apart basically :)

Just borrow a manual from your local library
or better still, try to ripe it apart yourself, is not hard to do

lol, yeh, i didnt mean buy the manual just for the cluster lol :D

like i said, gives you every nut and bolt for the cluster, and anything else you would want to take apart :)

Well worth the $30

there is only 6 screws to removed and 4 clips to detach:)

nothing hidden! :D

in short here goes with a philips screw driver (i'm assuming you are taking it out of the ek civic:)

1) remove the 2 screws that are attached to the cluster frame (located ont the top underneath...run your fingers and feel)
2) once the 2 screws are out, remove the frame
3) 4 screws - 2 are on the top corner each and 2 at the bottom corners ends of the cluster
4) when all 4 crews are removed...gently move the cluster face down...remember gently
5) u will see 2 blue clip(one in the middle and one on the left), 1 orange and 1 yellow
6) to some the order of removing the clips maynot be of important...but for me, i first remove the middle blue clip , then the left clip, then the orange and last the yellow...(i don't want to go into story of the order, there is a reason for doing this)
7)you are done
8) and to put back...do the reverse:)- what goes out last go in first:)

simple and should not be that hard :) u have problem...pm is ur friend :)
