Im currently undergoing a major replacing of all consumables in my car.
Im just wondering with the spark plugs...do i just go for standard ones again or since the car is now modified a bit, can i go for a different spark plug. eg maybe 1 step colder in the heat range? or is just a bit of a waste of time?

I'm using the NGK Iridium plugs and I think their better than the OEM platium plugs. The OEM plugs had a small flat spot, first thing when cold, that the Iridiums don't. Apart from that, I don't really notice any difference....
The Platium plugs are pretty good.

I say thats true. My change was it's first (I think) & they were changed at 80,000 at the service and they were fairly hard miles. But were still working fine. Re:- Very little change (see coment above) after new (Better) Plugs installed.
The OEM plug aren't cheap....these ones are abit more.
But you can't fault the NGK Iridiums.

true they last 100,00kms
the DC5R (not sure about DC2R) come stock with iridiums, as the handbook says they recommend NGK or Denso Iridiums- mine came with denso but changed over to NGK
cost a bit though, NGK didnt stock the type for the DC5R had to go through honda and pay big bucks! (120ish for the set)

They are about the only two brands that make them. The only difference between them is the heat range. I can't remember which one is very slightly colder have the other. No probs with the NGK's... now 25K+.
I use BKR7E-11, $2.50 ea.
