Was browsing Ebay and came across this,

yeh it would probably end up being fuct. Allthough he has put a bit of money into it,
maybe it is a genuine sale.

i'd ask for clearance & runout figures.
I'd even go as far as to ask for sleeve micron depth of the honing process.

There are a great many things needing specific clearance when building a motor.
If it isnt clearanced correctly, you'll have issues.

There is no real way to check clearances (the ones he provides) unless you tear the motor down and check them yourself.

Same goes with the cylinder head.

If he's willing to go on the record and state the clearances, i'd consider it, but i'd be cautious

Personally, i'd do the build myself from scratch for piece of mind.

it has been listed since the 12th of June, today is the 16th and no one has placed a bid on it.. i think there is something fishy there.. my thoughts.

That is not unusual for an item with such a high starting price. The main thing I would be concerned about is buying a $800 item from a seller with only 40 feedback :eek:
