I really need a decent performance brake pad for my car.
Anyone out there know of anybrands that actually stock a part for the accord?
Don't just reccomend a brand thinking that they make pads for the accord.
Its very hard to find a company that has a set and even when u do, they have about 3 different ones listed that dont fit.
I've just got shitty bendix ultimates on at the moment.

good for stock cars.
By the way, the brakes need to pull up a 1400+kg accord with 400hp.

I have been using EBC Green stuff pads on my 95 Accord for nearly two years. They made a big difference compared to the OEM pads (which were Nissin pads on my car)

The green stuff pads are suited for the street with the occasion track day.

With that kinda HP I would be looking at a rotor upgrade if I was you too man (and calipers if you have the cash)

I recently fitted a AEM big brake kit to my accord (315mm slotted 2 piece front rotors, they are similiar to the DBA 5000 series) and Brembo rear slotted/drilled rotors, and a goodridge braided hose kit. Man that made a huuugggeee difference in performance!

1400kg!!! how come ure accord is so heavy man? lolz i agree with 'smokn'. upgrade your brake set if u have the $$$. If not, get some DBA slotted rotors for now and use 'endless' brake pads.. apparently they are pretty goood sh*t

Charles, the EBC greens wont cut it for you on the street if you are going to be stopping from high speed once in a while etc.

Step up to a set of EBC reds which are the next step up, but be warned, they make alot of noise and require some heat before they work well (like all high temp pads).

There are a few others around from memory, I believe that Apexi made a set of pads for your car, check them out for the 700 series pad.

only place i can find them so far is:

http://www.japaneseperformanceparts.com/suspension-brakes-brake-pads-c-3_150.html

Front = Au$ 367
Rear = Au$ 330
(plus delivery from NZ)

is it a good price for these pads?? will they simply fit in stock fittings or need to buy some extra stuff to fit in my stock 95 accord???

Cheers guys.
See the thing was i went to Brakes Plus in brissie and they rang up ebc to try and match a pair for me. They said that they had nothing for the accord.
BS i reckon. Thats y i asked here to see if anyone actually had them on.
smokin: how much did the brake setup cost u and where in the states did u get them?
porn: where can i get the pads? I've already got rotors.
I don't care about the noise the pads make as my car is pretty noisy when on boost anyways.

Im not sure if Ill get in trouble with this, but give www.JDiMage.com (http://www.jdimage.com/) a visit.

Those prices suck Mirz, go to the above listed website. Charles, same thing mate, give those guys ago, they have been awesome to deal with for my other gear that I bought. I've used a set on my Stock rotors, and they are worth the dough, much better than the EBC reds (i dont know if they make em for the accord), and the greens are too easily heated up.

I paid around 1-1.5 K for my brake setup, but that was with trade price pads and no installation costs. (650 for the AEM big brake kit, 200 ish for the F&R EBC green stuff pads, 400 for the OEM size rear Brembo slotted/drilled rotors and goodridge stainless steel braided hose kit)

I bought the AEM kit off a dude who knew a dude who had them for his unfinished project accord in the states, so I cant help you there man, but by memory you are looking at around $800 landed in Oz. (this kit allows you to retain your stock calipers, but you need 16/17" wheels to clear the calipers)

If you do 90% street driving the Green stuff pads will be fine, and as pornstar stated if you use the red stuff pads you need more heat to get them to start biting, more noise, and you will get slightly more rotor wear with these pads also. But if you really do give your brakes a hard time these pads will be for you....

If you have the money a Brembo Gran turismo kit would be the go (3.5 k roughly) 4 pot calipers, pads, 2 piece slotted rotors, and hoses. But for nearly half the price I think something similiar to my setup would be enough for a quick street car.....:thumbsup:
