im getting 18x7.5 and that will be the MAX you can put on them due to the wishbone restraints. the CD accord (dont know about the others) has macpherson and wishbone suspension. he can try but i dont think he will be able to. mine just come level with the guards and the rolling diameter is spot on to the factory specs.

if you put both thumbs together that will show you how high the side wall is on mine. 225/35/18...

cd accords dont have macpherson suspension, its double wishbone with coil springs front and rear.

yeah, i think 19x8.5"s will fit , some lipping of the rear guards is in order.

As long as you get the correct offset you wont have problems

check out this accord with 19" konig tantrums mmmmmmmm.

I stand corrected. They just looked like the macs with wishbone :o

and as for 19's, how small is the side wall on the tyre? that person might as well be riding on rubber bands. mine will be bumpy i know, i just hope my wife dont hammer me about it everytime shes in the car :p

that pics also looks like it from overseas??? we dont actually have nice roads like overseas countries do. we keep getting ripped on everything here in NSW.

the best land mark in Sydney i think is the M5 car park, its free from the airport all the way to king georges road. from then on you have to pay to park your car.

not that any of the other motorways in Sydney are any good either.

oh and i wonder what ever happened to our 3x3 petrol tax levy hidden tax bullsh!t thingie? what happened to that? why are we paying and paying and paying? we pay our road tax through the petrol and other bullsh!t hidden taxes (well not really hidden) through the RTA and we still have to pay to use the flaming motorway cause some private company built it that the NSW government appointed.

can we get some of our asian mafia friends to take out bob carr? is that a possibility? LOL that guy just shits me... Good to see you, good to see you..... blaaaaaaah wanker that we as morons keep voting him in to goverment.

PLEASE PEOPLE OF NSW, THINK TWICE BEFORE VOTING FOR THAT WANKER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

i can work out the tyre specs...

one sec

ICACHA

215/30/19 which will give you 612mm (within the NSW RTA's rules of no more than a change of + or - of 15mm from standard) which would be the closest to the 615mm factory rolling diameter of the accord CD.

ICACHA

the other specs i worked out are as follows...

(original rim) 195/60/15 615mm 518/km 15000km N/A
(17 inch rim) 205/45/17 616mm 516/km 14968km 0.2%
(18 inch rim) 225/35/18 615mm 518/km 15007km -0.0%

Its all about compromises. And the thing which will make all the difference on a 19x8 wheel is the offset! Thats what determines if the wheel rests on the upper arm or outside of the fenders...

225/40 that will put if off heeps and i dont think anyone will pass it unless he gets an engineers certificate and get the speedo re-calibrated.

factory rolloing diameter is 615mm that combo will be 663, well pasted the 15mm rule that stands. defect for sure...

There was a silver CD5 here at the AS '02 or '03 that had 19" Lowenharts.
Didn't really take notice of it, so don't know what tyre profile it was running.

So, to answer your question, yes, it is possible. You'll just have to work out the offset. I'm sure your wheel/tyre shop should be able to help you out with that.

Make sure the tire you put on the car is the right load rating aswell! I don''t they will make a 215/30/19 that will have the correct load raiting for an 94 Accord. Cops pick on these things now.

I had all sorts of dramas getting wheels for my Accord. I was told it was an offset issue. I finally managed to find a company (Grahams SWT at Slacks Ck) that had a choice of wheel. I got 18x7's with 215/35/18 tyres. it rides rough, and i havent had it lowered too far, so there is no scraping. yet.

19x8 with 215/35/19 will fit no problem on accord
offset must be +40ish
here is a pic of 19"x8 with 215/35/19 fitted on accord:

18s aren't too much of a problem IMHO.
It's when you wish to go 19s that dramas arises :)

40s are fine.
45s however would look ridiculous :)
