Are you talking about eBay sway bars from US?
I recommend Whiteline sway bars, Aussie company with top quality stuff. I don't know if anyone here in OH has any other brand of sway bars.

i've only ever seen whiteline bars used. Other than that i think cusco and afew other Jap brands. Never heard of any US ones, but all they are is a piece of solid metal. Only thing is if they use crap materials which you will never know. Might be worth the extra for the piece of mind.

i was thinking the same thing.. came to conclusion that its there to stop flex in the chassis. So at the end of the day u wanna make sure that the part ur buying is gunna be solid, if it flexes, theres no point having it so its prolly worth spending the extra cash to get a part that does the job properly

a non whiteline bar! from the wonderful folks at progress auto
a sway bar IS NOT a chasis reinforcement. It isn't there to prevent flex in the chasis. It is a spring... basically a big torsion bar. There should be some flexibility in it, depending on the diameter of the bar. The idea is to prevent body roll, somewhat similar to running a higher spring rate in the springs, only without the harsh ride.
