$500 + $1000 != $5000 :confused:

Yes 500 + 1000 = car and motor in garage

Getting it on the road costs a little more ie axles, microtech, fuel pump, mounts, blah blah blah

it is, if it just costed $5000. but all the extra costs.

its hardly anything - compared to "all the extra costs" involved with owning our own cars :D

I will type slowly 500 for the car plus 1000 for the motor.....OK $1500 so far

the extras will add about $3500 bringing the total to $5000....

Pics soon...if pics of a $500 Civic are worth posting....

BTW went to the registry today and ordered the "ALLMTR" plates again :)

I've seen Chuck do it all on a budget before - my money is on him doing it again :)

I just wanted to see the 1G frying everything else :)

BTW - I re-read my other post - it sounded like I was criticising - I wasn't! :)

500 for a beaten up 3G hatch is about right actually - it's amazing that 2,3 and 4 gen Civics sell cheaper than ok condition 1st gens nowadays.

ahhh i get ya  nice nice

1000 for the motor

but 1k for the motor? from where? and to fit it in for 3.5? is this a DIY job?

don't mean to sound rude in my questions, it's just that i was planning on a H22 in my civic, but i was told i'd be looking at around $10k + alot of hassles..

Beaten up? Who said it was beaten up?

EG5: Chasing the FWD all motor record on street tyres? I still own it :D
I will be competing at the Sport Compact Series in the All Motor class.

Yeah that's about it at the moment.

Hey mate I've started a thread in the Civic/CRX section. I've found a CRX ballade for $750 and I'm really interested in converting to B16A. If you could answer some of my q's in the thread all pm with some details of the conversion (how difficult, what's needed, cost of doing it yourself, any fabrication welding required, any problems to look out for, can I use 1st gen or 2nd gen B16A etc etc)I'd really appreciate it.

Also G AE82, it looks like you have pretty much exactly what I'm after except mine will be a CRX. Any info you could provide would also be appreciated.
