Are there any problems with fitting a 235/40R18 tires onto a 18x7.5 rim?
I've seen websites that recommend no bigger than 225 onto a 7.5, but i read elsewhere that its fine..
The reason i'm asking is i can get 235/40R18 pretty cheap...so considering..and wider tyres look better!

according to http://www.chris-longhurst.com/carbibles/index.html?menu.html&mainpage.html recommended rim widht is 8 - 9.5

225 on 7.5 is a perfect fit, because the rim protector (if the tyre has it) really does stick out nicely and protect the rim edges effectively.

235 tyre on 7.5" wide rims might push to the limit a bit. got to make sure the offset is right on either inside and outside, so that 235 wide tyre wont rub your guard and internal plastic penals when u turn steering wheel to lock posiiton.

all 18" tyre now a day should all have rim protection lips.
