so is there anyway I install a Vtech system into my engine?
Engine conversion will cost a lot and I need to get it engineering certified or somethin that cost another 2 grand.

dammit ghost :p i saw it from the topic title :p lolz.

nah man... u cant just 'add' vtec to ur engine... u gotta get an actual vtec engine... i'm sure if it were that easy a lot of people on here would be sporting vtec...

easiest way as another said, b16a conversion gets you DOHC VTEC, d16y8 conversion gets u SOHC VTEC...

good luck

yes u can put a SOHC VTEC head on ur d15b7, use either a d16y1 or a d16y8 head n ecu

also if u do a search on "vtec mini-me" on yahoo or something u will find that there are plenty of diy write ups

im sure that the d16y1 head from the EG VTi will bolt onto the d15b7 block without any mods. tho not sure bout the y8 head.
also please note that the US equivalent to the AU's y1 is the d16z6.
d16z6/d16y1 = obd I
d16y8 = obdII
gl with it :thumbsup:
