Hey dudes
you guys mite be sick of CAI questions but i've been doing research and regarding the EG civic... putting the Pod behind the bumper will make it better right..? but how will air get in cz its fully blocked by the bumper with no way for air to go in...

refer to the last picture on http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gte318h/proj6.html
after the bumper is put back on it would just cover it right?

just want to get this cleared up
thanks guys

if you don't want a pod,run a PiperCross Hi Flow panel filter.

Otherwise, with a pod, try and find the best place to find cold air... go low, and find a hole BUT, this is gonna add to restriction, because you will have extra bends in your inlet system. BEST result, is stick a pod on the standard EG airbox with sufficient cold air feed

reason why they keep airbox in race cars because it is regulated as such by rules

not always. be careful.
In Some cases, yes, but not in IPRA, on a tight budget. Sure, in any production catagory, you do, like Combined touring....

air goes in from beneath the frontbar, and the grill in the middle of the frontbar... you can also direct a pipe to the front if your scared that you arnt getting sufficent cold air :P

the whole point of the exercise is to relocate your air intake from the hotter engine bay to a cooler point ie your bumper there is no need to open a hole for it for a ram air effect

end of day it is more effective if u cfreate a pod on a stick with the pod shielded form the engine bay with a duct to the front of bumper
