Resetting of ECU:
1. Open fuse compartment inside yr car (where the shelf is).
2. Remove the 2 engine fuse for 5 mins.
3. Alternatively, you may want to detached yr negative connection on your battery, but your radio settings will be gone.

Resetting of CVT
1. Start yr engine, without any electrical system on ie radio, headlight, cabin light etc.
2. Apply handbrake and foot brake (thru out whole process)
3. Engage to N and leave it for 1 min.
4. Engage to D and leave it for 2 mins.
5. Engage to P, and off yr engine

Thank you guys, I'll try that 2morrow...

Beware Philip, u will hear some noise when u are driving quietly(Specially in 7speed mode with using gear 1st@over 3000rpm & 2nd@over 4000rpm)......it's really cause your cvt damage!!!

same here wor. gb has the same feel as before and no additional engine noise either.

only 1 thing is that it revs a little bit higher before it'll "change down" but i guess i can "re-teach" it.

i didn't reset on purpose (or for the sake of it).

i took the battery out for an afternoon bcos i had to run a power cable to the battery for an amp.

anyway i've driven the car for over 1 week now and as far as i can feel & hear, there is absolutely no difference.

there is really no gain by resetting.

I tried both techniques earlier tonight, then drove 150km straight afterwards and felt no difference, heard no changes and still drove the same..... It didnt work for me!

Hey, brighty.. just checking.. what sort of noise you have before the reset? You've mentioned that after the reset, the noise is gone?

haha.

i guess if your car has some abnormal noise, give resetting a go.

if your car is fine, just leave it.

sounds fair??
