Hey all,
Im thinking of boosting my H22A, i need as much input about this as i can...
What mods do you guys/girls recommend? e.g. ECU, CAMS, PISTON, CLUTCH, GEARBOX etc.... do you guys/girls think its a good idea or should i change from the VTEC h22a to a H23 DOHC engine and boost that?
Every input will be much appreciated

where abouts are you located? If you're in Sydney, it might be worth while going to chat with Online Performance, before it crashed their drag car was doing pretty well with a turbo H22A.
I don't nkow why but there is always a big who-har about turbo charging variable valve timing engines?
As for what you'll need;
turbo (durrr) probably be best getting a nice BB one
intercooler
custom exhaust manifold + 3in exhaust
BOV
Filter + CAI
larger injectors (or std ones hi-flow'd)
Forged pistons (for reliability sake)
stronger clutch (how strong depends on what power and where it's driven)
Aftermarket ECU - preferably one with a VTEC control built in (Haltech is cool ;) )
Honda g'boxes seem to hold up pretty well under power.
probably worth while getting all your rods/crank/bearings checked as well
Things like cams and head work don't really need to be changed or modified but it will get more power if they are
Always remember - especially on something like this, spend the money properly the first time and do it right, or it will most likely end up costing more in the long run!

you can't forget to include brake upgrades too.. slotted types are usually the way to go.. Your going so fast, so therefore you need something to stop you just as fast.
Cheers,

yeah i was there when the Online Performance Drag car crashed.. The thing that gets me about turbo charging VTEC is that you got your turbo spooling up at the low revs then your VTEC to kick in at your high...hehe sweet =)
Thanks for all your inputs

There are lots of pre-made packs made for h22a for sale in america, have you concidered buying one of these and importing it? They all run around 9psi and have pritty much everything you need.

It's not a good idea to use XSPower turbos though, just a hint
