I find it abit confusing why we are not allowed to sell on behalf of friends, while at the same time we are allowed to sell items taht arent even ours yet. We all know whats going on in the for sale forums, i dont have a problem with the person or anything about it, it just seems aunfair taht i cant sell seomthing on my friends behalf yet i can sell them if they arent mine and up for sale in japan.

perhaps u guys need a rethink

The marketplace will be changing its structure pretty soon to accomodate for how busy it is. I'm glad you dont have a problem with the 'person', because all us mods do is make sure forumers obide by the terms and conditions which clearly state no selling on behalf of others.

Its under control, and the reason why there are being some delays in getting things done is because the owner 'wynode' is out of the country at the moment.

If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me.

The marketplace is for members to sell what belongs to them and them only. Ie its a private trading place for OH members. We will be chasing up this issue of people selling things that aren't in their posession yet. By allowing people to sell things that they don't own, its just going to be all that harder to moderate and it increases the risk of people not being able to contact the seller.

Post any questions you have here. And if it is the case where someone is trying to sell something that they have not yet acquired, then it will be considered a commercial post and be removed.

So that would include group buy?

I believe group buys are merely individual members chipping in together to gain some sort of discount Euro, so that would be "private".....
But i spose if someone was to advertise his/her commercial group buy opportunity then it would be a grey area......
Best to check with Wynode. :)

Group buys are OK as they are in order to get a discount. That is only if it is an individual organising it and not a business.

We will have to work on the group buy scenario in a bit, but for the moment its OK.

What if it's a "commercial" / bulk advertiser offering OH group buy discounts Win?

On that topic, the Marketplace has been slightly restructured now.

I'm not a fan of splitting the forums... as much as it makes it easier for me to offer people stuff, it means each side gets less exposuer

Splitting it makes it much easier for people looking for things to buy. But this is not the only reason. There is a more long term reason that will be discusse later.

As for the spelling mistake, thats my bad
