I am looking at getting some 18's for my EG VTi and I need to know if they will fit without any modifications to the guards as long as they are the right offset? The wheels also come in 17x7 inch so if the 18's don't fit I will go for the 17's. Also can someone tell me the correct offset I will need in order to fit these rims properly?

Cheers :honda:

i was goin to do the same.
ye ther sure will be work done to the guards...depending on how low the car is
your goin to have to roll the guards preti well to fit the 18z

you will most likely have to roll the guards to fit the 17's too

its not the height of the wheel which is the issue, its the width.

When you say rolled you just mean that the inside of them needs to be flattened a bit right? The thing is that I don't want it to affect the look of the exterior and I know that pumping the guards out will make the car look different. I have no objections to playing around with stuff you can't see but I don't want to have flared guards. You guys know what I mean?

I think they will fit without too many issues.. a friend of mine had 18x8 w/215s on his EG civic... from memory.. definetely guards rolled tho...

Mate i have 18x7.5 wheels on my eg sedan. You will need to roll the guards, which is flattening the raised lip on the inside of the guards and does not change the outward apperance. Depending on how far it is lowered you may have to cut out some of the black plastic guard liners or take them out altogether like i did. But expect the tyres to rub on full lock due to the width of the wheels but its nothing major.

Suspension may be an issue too. Unless you really lower it alot it will look like a honda CRV. Do a search, other ppl with 18s have had to go for coil overs to get an acceptable looking ride height.

Cheers guys

I am going for coil overs so that's not an issue. That riced up Civic looks dreadful. Basically I am building the car with a JDM/USDM theme and I like the look of slammed EG's on 18's. Here is an example of a few Civic's on 18's which is the type of style I am going for.
