alright, a friend told me to get my header (extractoR) sprayed so it has a water proof coating.
basically at the moment it is just steel, with no stainless steel coating or anyhting, so i was after some advice on where to get this done in sydney and who would do it.
what i would really like is for it to be ceramic coated so its both water proof and insulated.
thank you for who ever can help me out.

ceramic coating and spraying is the best thing to do to these exctractors. ceramic coating will definately cut down heaps of heat from ya engine bay and spraying them will make them look presentable.

this may sound stupid but why would you want to paint your headers?

you need to get a steel header coated to prevent oxidization or rust .
Most water will just evaporate from the surface temp. But , there shouldnt be anything to worry about due to a car's under body splash guards to prevent this very situation.
HPC coating is very expensive and can prematurely wear your header ( in a similar fashion to that heat-tape) .
Just grab a can or two of that hi-temp spray paint , sand back and surface rust and cover it in a few layers :)

Alex don't you have a stock header? Don't bother getting it coated with anything fancy pantsy, you'll waste those precious installation dollars mate. :)
