hey guys
on the w/end i ran over a screw and it has stuck right up in my type, it looks to be about 1 inch long and my rims are 17" with tubeless tyres. My tyre hasnt gone flat yet. I was wondering, do u think its possible for me to pull it out and patch it up or cant this be done on tubeless tyres. At TAFE my auto. mech. teacher said to bring it in and that he would patch it up for me at school but i didnt tell him it was tubeless, he also said if i leave it, it will eventually go flat and that driving it will make the hole bigger so im best to fix it up asap....

any help on this would be very, very appreciated, i cant afford a new tyre at the moment, and am trying to sell my car so i need it fixed up

thanks in advance guys

It is possible to repair, at a cost of course. I had nail in my tyre a while ago, went to the mechanics, charged me $20 for putting a stick made out of TAR into the hole...

It's probably best if you give a tyre shop a call and question them.

Just give it to your teacher, they just take the screw out
and plug it back in with some kind of patch kit.
put some more air in and u can drive off.

thanks guys, i think he might be able to do it at school, i know we have wheel balancers n stuff like that, should have what i need.. will save me paying a tyre specialist and i can learn how to do it myself

im praying its repairable, i dont think its that bad or the tyre would be dead by now

as long as its in the middle of the tyre and not on/near the side wall, then you can fix it. Just make sure you get the tyre balanced again once its patched
