All you need to do make sure the PCD, rolling diameter and offset is the same (Or between 5-7mm of it)..

Lux:Rim dimension = 17"x7.5". PCD= 114.3 x5. Offset = +55 Tyre=225/45/17
Std: Rim dimension= 16"x6.5". PCD = 114.3x5. Offset =+55. Tyre= 205/55/16

Above are stock size. for upsize rims (18 or 19") You can get offset to +45, or even 42... width you can go up to 8".. but U must have correct PCD ie 114.3 x5

Most of wheels catalog dont have full detail of their products. especially offset... so it is best to contact the manufactuer or distributors to confirm the size, offset and PCD.

Its ok if I use this thread also for wheel feedback?

Im getting my car tommorow. New Euro milano red.

Jaxs in canberra have quoted me $1580 for the www.speedywheels.com.au

http://www.speedywheels.com.au/images/zoom/wheels/lite-7-gold.jpg

They are taking the tyres of the Euro but giving me the 16 inch alloys back. These are

18x7
45mm offset
speedy Lite-7
Falken 225/40/18 (are these ok )

Seems like a great deal for $1580 and I get to sell the alloys.

What you guys think of theis deal and the type of alloy on a Milano red Euro 05?

Your Dunlop 2050m can fetch over $200 each brand new.

Im not sure what the stock 16 inch tyres are or what they are worth. They will have over 400km on them once i hand them over (dusty etc)

Im giving them the 16 iinch tyres. Not the alloys ( I keep them for selling) and they are giving me the 4 x speedy wheels Lite7 18x7 with Falken tyres for $1580.

Thats a bad deal? I know sweet FA about this stuff. Where am I going wrong ? Paying too much for the speedys?

Im told the package 18x7 and Falkens are worth $1980, so im getting $100 each for my 16 inch tyres with almost new tread. ??

Does anyone know a Wheel Shop in the sutherland area that could do them while im in the area tomorow? Someone honest and reliable?

Can you tell me what shop will take the alloys and tyres?

Jax would only take tyres, discount tyres/bridgestone/Bob J would not take either!

Suntzu:

1. You better check out what model of Falken tyres u are getting, as price varies.. U can always ring up other tyre shop (who stock Falken) and get quote for tyre only..

2. 225/40/18 will fit 18" rims perfectly. Do Speedy have 18" x 7.5" or 8" ??

3. My friend have punctured a stock Dunlop 2050M beyond repair, need to just buy one tyre to replace it.. Cost him $240.. (in Brisbnae) I guess this is because they have to source it from Japan maybe, as 2050M is not on normal Dunlop range. it is mainly manufactured for car makers.

4. Chris F have a set of Speedy Lite 7 (17" x 7") on his Euro.. u might want to check what it looks like on Euro. (Click on my signiture for link).

5. Some tyre shop do accept trade in stock Rim + Tyre package. but I would say most of them don't. Coz hard to sell them.. OEM 16" has offset 55, not a very popular offset. tyre shops probably make more profit by selling aftermarket rims.

6. I guess you can sell your rim + tyre combo on E-bay or thru trading post. maybe do a research to get a ballpark figure first.

I was trying to offload the standard 16s and tyres at once easily. What do you think theyd be worth?

Can anyone suggest a nice 18 inch and tyres for my new beast?

awesome - nice choice in wheels :D

i got same in the silver with machind lip finish in 17"

I was given 7-800 for my wheels and tyres (basically gave them the alloys for free) and payed 1500 swap over but that was with eagle f1 gs-d3's which are just under 400 each. So the way i see it - i payed for the better tyres and got the alloys for free.

I'd be happy with that deal the speedy's look even better in 18" aswell and i'm sure they're gona look great on your car - can't wait to see some pics!

In terms of wheel weight the speedy are 9kgs in 18x7. Im assuming thats without tyres. Is trhat a low weigh compared to stock or other 18s? I spose their called Lite's for a reason??

PNR888

9 kg for cast 18" is relative light.. Forged BBS rim 18" weigh around 8kg. but probably wider than 7".

Anyone here have the Yokohama Advan-RG rims? :P~

Chris_F

the 6 spoke wheels are the lighter out of the the two (lite 7: 8.3kg in 17", lite 6 about a kilo less for the same size)

The weight of these wheels was a big reason why i chose them - weights are hard to find on wheels that are readily available in aus. Most wheels that don't let you know the weight are probably going to be a lot heavier

I got the speedy lite7 gold 18x7 fitted. They have Falken Ziex 326 - 225/40zr18 fitted. How can I tell if I have the correct speed rating? Are these tyres decent? They seemed pretty good in the wet last night. I post some pics when it stops raining. cheers

Z rating is for higher speeds that the V rated tyres that come with my 16". So in terms of speed rating, you're alright
