2000 ek vti-r hatch?

i need a lil help with something peepz

I'm looking to get an EK vti-r hatch, the later the model the better. The majority that i've seen advertised are 97 or 98 models (by majority its probably abt 5 all up in the past few wks), but i'm looking for a 99 or 2000 model.
My question is do these exist? A friend of mine told me that there are no 2000 model vti-r hatches since they got the vti-r coupes were introduced in its place... Is this a fact? or am i not seeing any 2000 model vti-r hatches for sales coz ppl dont wanna sell em?

ur friend is right vtir's didnt come in 99 onwards on the hatches only the coupes did

As far as I understand the vti-r was only produced in the pre-facelift shape (ie between 96-98). You can always just check redbook.com.au to be sure :thumbsup: .

Check out carsales.com.au there are quite a few VTi-R hatches on there.

and havnt seen a single 99 pr 2000 model vti-r hatch... guess its like you've said they didnt make em in hatches!

Looks like i'll settle for a 99 or 2000 vti hatch... heheh money saved from getting vti instead of vti-r = money for engine conversion.... :p

after 98 the hatches were no longer continued for the VTIR range

That's right, EK4's (Civic VTi-R Hatches) were only produced 96-98...i think the build date of the earliest is a '95....most are registered as 96 tho.

:thumbsup: good luck searching...there are a few around for sale....check regularly on carsales,tradingpost, drive to be sure u get in quick!....good examples are snapped up pretty damn quick.

Yep, 98 is the newest you'll find. 99-00 are coupes, and that's the last of the VTiR civics in OZ. Though there is a $30K 99 "Type R" Civic hatch for sale on carsales. If it's real or not, only the owner owns, but it seem like his put in a lot of work into it.

Yes you guys are right, 99-00 only have VTi-R Coupes, so i guess you'll be getting a 98 EK VTi-R Hatch huh.. :P

they are very rare cos of the price.
so they wern't very big down here!

anyways this is wat u can get in aus:

vtir hatch(EK4) 96-98
vtir coupe(EM1) 99-00

these r the only civic brought in by honda aus with b16a2
