have u tuned ur car yet? i think it's because you hven't tuned it that's why vtec doesn't kick in
try doing initial setup again but leave all the settings as default after initial setup..don't chagne the revs for vtec
i changed the revs for vtec and vtec wont kick in and i had a malfuntion indicator showing up..but when remove the rev settings, the malfunction indicator went away and vtec was back

with my one...if i mess around with the revs for vtec, vtec doesn't come on..but if i leave it as default, vtec comes on..i have a feeling it's because i haven't set the air and the other configurations for it yet.
i'm gonna get it dyno/tuned after i install my exhaust :D and i'll let u guys know if i get the same problem

Check the cylinder setting. is it 4 or 6. I had problem with it last time and it was b/cos of the number of cylinder setting.
