Radio Code...

I don't know how many times this topic has been covered and i've tried searching and haven't found anything, maybe someone can help...

Does anyone know the code for the stock headunit in a Civic???

hey, i believe its different per car so you may have to go back to your manufacturer who has the "master" code.

Its just that when I bought the car, the previous owners didn't give me this code...

They can always reset it for you... But it will cost you.

HONDA dealer should be able to get you the code as long as you can show them the prove of the ownership or the original owner . . .

yeh best bet is to go through your factory manual. this will have all the original service record slips in it among other things. usually there is a little card there that has the radio details on it.
if it isnt there i would suggest trying someone elses code.
failing that usually u can pick up a nice cheap one off someone else that has the appropriate code and install that (as far as i know it is usually more expensive to get the dealer to find the code for you but cant hurt to ask)

all you have to do is call up a honda dealer, but the service department, and then give em your rego, or vin number, and they usually give it to ya, but if the owner has changed it, it's out of thier hands.

the service advisor might not want to give you the code sometimes though, beucase by law you have to prove you are the owner of the car, but sometimes you can get away with it.
