depends what color of car u getting i think
red will fade out faster compare to other colors under the sun as not all the apartments have undercover car park.
white may need as well as it will turn to yellowish after a period of time as well.
wash regular wont help much but keep your car away from the sun and bird shit is the best way to protect the paint

HAHAHA...man don't do it whatever the colour, price or anything...that stuff is the biggest rip-off EVER!
I regular polish and good wax (say every 6 months or so) will give you much better results and protect your paint.
Honda tried to sell me this 5 points package when I got my car from them, it includes paint protection, tinting, undercar sound protection, interior protection(seats are waterproof) and rust proof. They initially quoted me $1750 for everything and I haggled it down to $750...
so they quoted u $900 for paint protection only??
btw, paint protection is good. I spilled tomato sauce on the seat and I can just wipe it with water.. no stain and no smell at all

$750 seems to ring a bell. They called me up before I pick up the car and offer me the same thing.. They go .. http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/images/smilies/metallicblue.gif and "because you are buying the car from us.. we will offer you this special price.. $7xx..."
I turn them down at the end.. If you really want.. you can get Toughseal which offers guarantee.. for 1/2 the price.. http://www.toughseal.com.au
That's exactly what happened, 3 days before I pick up the car Honda called me and ask me if I want to get the 5 points protection package. I said no it's too expensive and she asked me how much I want to pay.. I said if it's $500 I'll do it, then the lady offered $750..
dont get it, waste money, get sound system or alarm system instead

I use Big Kev's Goo Remover, I'd swear you can get anything off your seats with that and including stuck chewing gum! And it leaves a nice citrus smell too.... $5-$7 from nearest reputable shop!

paint protection is a scam, wax it once a month.
ask a painter what they think of paint protection!

Its a rip off, they offered it to my sister when she got her Jazz and scared her into it. Saying the car could rust without the rust protection etc. Then when I bought a Jazz for the wife they rang me and offered it, I said no, and when they pushed the rust stuff I was like "so you're telling me the Jazz is going to rust?" they were like "no of course not", then why??? Then an hour later, they rang the wife to ask her for the protection stuff. Bloody unethical, she said no also and rang me. So I rang the dealer and let them have it saying it was unethical and the deal was off. He offered the free tow kit and tinting to keep the deal.

I think can get your car professionally waxed for about $100.00 right? so therefore instead paying $750.00, just get the car waxed professionally once every 6 or 12 months.....that way, car remains shiny and glowing, yet cheaper in the long term!
