Hey all,

Am currently tossing up between x-force 4-1 and 4-2-1 for my B16A LS Integra..

Initially i was keen for the 4-1 however after doing some searching it seems there's indications of fittment issues with the 4-1's.

Can anyone who has a B16A with X-Force headers please add their 2cents on their fittment issues.

I would preferrably go for JDM 4-1 but they will hang too low.. :(

Thanks

I didn't know that X-force actually made a 4-1 design extractor for the B16A?

i got xforce 4-1 headers on my civic, b16a

they are good value for the price, the only problem i found is that they sit way too low apart from that they fitted good, mine are pretty damaged at the bottom coz of my ride height, i will get new ones soon but this time 4-2-1 headers....

So they do sit low, just like the JDM one's? i know they sit down below the sump...

this aint a good thing.

thanks...

yeah it's lower now... have redone the susp since those pics. It's probably about an inch lower at the front. However have got coilovers so could raise it i guess... but i can't resist the lowrider :D

i got x-force 4-1 headers on my b16a. but my car is standard height at the moment (waiting for tax return) so i havn't had any issues with them being to low. They don't seem to look all that low at the base anyway.

theres a difference with them being in a civic and being in an integra maybe ???
they prob sit lower in our car then they do in civics.

i've seen the 4-1 headers on a crx and they hang lower than the standard headers... so just be carefull when lowering your car

obviously it's because the will eventually crack or wear from hitting the road. i've just recently put on 4-2-1 and they follow the standard line but look great and perform even better. but in terms of perfromance, the 4-1 is the best

Do they sit down below your sump?

Do they sit down below your sump?

yes they do

on a slammed ls teggy the front seems lower than what a civic would be at the same height so id imagine the headers would hang even lower.

i just checked mine out yesterday while doing a service, one of the pipes is massively dented lol :o

yeah they hang lower by a fair amount... and it's hard to fit a strut brace under them

Im gonna go for the 4-2-1... the 4-1 is going to cause me too many headaches...

saving a bit of cash and avoiding headaches works for me :D :D :D

strut brace under the headers ?!?!

trust me ive measured underneath the car when i was gonna get 4-1s and you'll be able to fit them in... if u return the car to stock height :D

ONV73C... did u have your crossmember removed to fit the b16a standard headers ??? coz i cant fit mine.... so i left it off

(PS: did u get my sms ??)

have you considered a dyno tune? especially that the engine has been changed to another car.

FR33K - Can't recall, i'll have to check.. the guy who had the car before me did the swap. yeh i got ur sms, i'll let you know shortly (should be ok) thanks.

mini s2000 - It definately needs a dyno tune, it's on the list of things that need doing and i haven't got that far yet ;)

stop talking shit :p

LS i would still go for a 4-1 config. but, it really depends on what purpose the cars for. if you are putting it on just for the sake of having extractors, then may as well 4-2-1. if your purpose is maybe racing, 4-1 could be more ideal?

just lowered my car. Konis on lowest perch with king spring super lows. Really low, looks sick. But drove for about ten minutes and my extractors scraped about 4 or 5 times. There is now like a flat spot of scrapage on the lowest point. I checked and there is about 1.75" of clearence from the ground to the lowest part of the extractors. In other words lowered car with 4-1's is not a good idea. I think i will have to buy some 4-2-1's and sell my 4-1's befor they get to much scrapage. Although the roads around healesville arn't all that flash i must admit.
