Hey. I thought i may let u guys with LS's know that im workin on a solution to fix the darn headlight globe problem we all face. Have a problem finding bling globes for your car? H4's not cutting it? Well im going to make H1's fit into the housing to replace the H4H globes that are meant to be in there. Anyway im gonna do this over the holidays and ill hopefully have a writeup on how to do it in a few weeks.

After reading this i decided to see how it works i bought some H1's today
After assessing the problem i just threw them in there they fitted fine in the rubber boot I never knew it could be that easy looks great and brighter as well
All i did is
1. Open up the standard wiering harness and pull out all the lugs
2. Connect a wire with lug to the frame of the light (this will be the earth lead)
3. Squeeze in H1 into the rubber boot on the back of the light
4. Connect up the wires to the light, the black one is the earth and red with green stripe is the positive standard beam and the other red one is positive high beam (this i didnt connect)
5. Using tape and/or heat shrink cover up the terminals and wires
Only one problem the secondery high beam originally in the H4H is no longer there and therefore when high beams are on the standard beam says off
You can connect up the high beam wire with terminal splitters but then you'll have to get a diode (only allows oneway flow) on each of the lights because the main highbeams will turn on with the normal lights are
I found that too much work for something i dont really need
just hope the heat from the light doesnt whorpe the boot but the originals where touching it as well
i'll keep ya's posted on how it lasts...
Time taken 2 1/2 Hrs this includes buying the lights

All has worked well so far with the lights had them on for an hr today in my garage no melting or burning
As the lights look good they light up a wall quite well but when driving outside they dont light up the road the best, this is mostly noticed on back streets
The H1's do not reflect the light as well as the H4H's and the light is more dispurse lights up more but not as bright by not being concentrated forwords
its not to do with the angel but i just cant figure them out
I find i'm using my high beams alot more

Ha lol I knew this was gonna happen! I was gonna let one of you guys know how to do this since I was the only one that worked it out! and now the word is going to go out on this! aarrrrggggg! Oh well.........
Note: there is a easier way of doing this and most of the things needed take less time than 2hrs like SKREMN says, if interested on how to do this put in a request under Articles and Reviews and I shall do up a whole write up on this with pics and all or you can always PM me for details.......
