Replace front bulb - 7th Gen (ES) Civic

Just asking about replacing front bulbs (as my front left one has blown)
Does anyone know or recommend any good brands and what your experience has been like? Also does anyone know the wattage of the bulbs?

I do not plan to go to full HID/Xenon (I know it looks good but too $$$), just looking for a brighter replacement bulb than OEM

Also approx price would be good :D

I got a set of replacement bulbs for my car. You know the annoying ones with the blue tint? lol theyre a lot brighter, havnt had any trouble...... as of yet. Only like 20 bucks too.

i ended up getting a set of Philips Blue Vision headlamps and parkers

will install tmr and give you a short write up

well did the install, took maybe about an hr?

suprisingly i found the instructions in the owners manual to be helpful, it not entirely accurate. for anyone who has done it before, its a bit tricky trying to remove the front fender plastic guard and change the parker/indicator

headlight is not really a problem except for the spring wire clip to hold it all in place, took me a while to figure it out!!!!!!!!

but feels good to do a 'DIY' and not stuff it up :D

(i did take 'before' and 'after' photos and when i was doing it as well, not sure if i CBF writing up a work instruction :D )

on purely subjective basis, it does feel the light is a lot brighter than before

Yup, Facelift model on EU3. I think 01- 03 model called EP3 but I could be wrong. I got mine running 5000K White bulb on HB4 with white park light to match the same. Both on POLARG. I found the size on fog from the day I took the whole bumper out. :)

EP3 is the 3 dr hatch - Civic Type R
the 5 dr hatches are EU's

Do you have your manual with you? Check the lighting page in the manual. Whatever bulb can be replaced is all there. My 01 Civic Vi uses the H4 12V 60/55W bulb. Took less than 5 minutes to replace each side guided by the manual :)
