Hey Paulo lol since when did you get a civic? I thought you hated hondas.. :p

I assume its a EG civic OBD1

On a OBD1 wiring setup the Vehicle Speed Sensor wire is the one your after (B10) refer to the diagram below

RSM Manual

back of the dash would be a good starting point

Yep, tap it from the instrument cluster harness.

why go through all that trouble riping out the cluster to get to that wire when you can easily access the VSS wire at the ECU plug? Unless your factory ECU plugs have been choped up?

You don't have to pull the cluster to get to the dash harness in an EG. Just pull the trim panel under the steering wheel, 2 screws, takes 30sec. :)

got it from the old ecu wiring! found it all tied up in a corner

Now i have another problem! everything lights up
but after the apexi logo the screen goes blank!

i think i have been sold a dodge unit

so i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get the monitor unit fixed
some electricall engineeer maybe

which version of the wolf did you get? cos i was pretty sure it has the speed sensor cos i had a wolf3d v3.11 and that was an older unit.

Well considering all the other wires he needs access to are within close proximity of the ECU be better to route the wire to the ECU plugs, and as for the the trim under the steering wheel its pretty messy there...

Meh, could say the same for the other end too. Should not be messy under there unless the wiring has been tampered with (eg, dodgey alarm install). All depends where you mount the RSM. On the pillar, no point running wires from the other side of the car (ecu)...

Unless your using the RSM for wank value then i guess what ever method works will be fine...

Most installs ive done for a RSM on jap cars are to remove the 180km speed cut + wank value
