Where can you get replacement fuses from. Short of say Autobarn/repco/super cheap auto? Any other places that sell em?

petrol stations usually have some. At least the normal two pronged ones. Or Kmart. Jaycar has them. So Dick Smith would probably also have them.

all those other places that sell fuses apart from repco/autobarn and such wouldnt have a big range. that would be only if your after the commonly used ones..

would not the thickness be related to its rating?

i bought this pack of fuses from DickSmith other day, it had 3 fuses of all amps needed in my car. keeping that in my glovebox just in case of emergancy.

i think it was just for 4 or 5 bucks.

fast and slow burn may have the same current rating but the thin one which is the fast burn will burn straight away if current exceeds the rated current where as the thicker one wont.

Most of the fuses which usually burn out are the interior fuses, which afaik are all blade fuses, which are all fast burns anyway :P
