i recently installed a HD clutch and lighten flywheel on my car..
im still running it in but whenever i start up the engine with its really cold, say in the morning or so, the revs become really wierd
when i touch the accelerator, the revs jump then almost hits zero revs, after that it stalls, i have to warm up the car just to drive without stalling
i had no problems driving it cold when i had the standard parts in it, so either its the clutch and fly, or something else is doing it
also, i have a wierd sound just under 3k rev, it makes a vibrating noise, i thought it was the clutch but when i got it changed, it still makes the same noise.. anyone know what it could be?
thanks in advance

two words for you mate : Auto Electrician!
Im sure some of the Syd. boys on here can recommend one, short of spending hundreds of dollars to get honda to find out whats wrong!
Also, check your leads and plugs, can sometimes do funny things!
Good luck, keep us posted!

yeah - the flywheel combo might be too light - and driveabilty will suffer.
Lighter flywheels are apparently known to dramtically drop ( and raise) revs accordingly.
Since there is less mass to store energy - both raising and dropping revs is much quicker.
Get used to it I say !

ahhh.. alrights, ill just take it back to my mechanic that i took it to to ask what is going on..
if not ill just have to put up with letting it warm up before i go out in the morning

that explains the rev drops while cold, but what about the librating can noise just below 3k? it makes the same noise in every gear when it hits the same spot

mate i think ur car has after market exhaust, not sure if ur cat converter shield is still on, but check that out, because mine made a noise at specific RPM all the time, around 2700 rpm..

check all your sensors...
bring it back to your mechanic..
i dont think a lighten fly wheel would hinder cold start....
get it checked out..
bring it over my house if u want
