EK4 sussy help...

guys, i just wanna know what does a stoock ek4 have on the car already... i think i saw a front sway bar...and a chasis bar ,,that's about it...

second question is...what;'s da cheapest mod i can do, to improve handling greatly,,thanks guys.

cheapest mod for handling for an EK4 i think would be to upgrade the rear sway bar by getting a thinker one like 22mm. the standard rear sway bar is too thin me thinks.

dont bother changing the front sway as it comes factory with 26mm thinkness.

does it come standard on ek4?

Yes it comes with a standard rear sway bar. Just take a quick look underneth your car. I have a feeling you're thinking of a rear struct brace not sway bar.

EK4's have a front lower swaybar and upper chassis brace as others have told .

For the biggest difference for the smallest mod / cheapest - get a larger rear swaybar :thumbsup:

arggg!! can someone please post a pic of their REAR sway bar...
no barefootbonzai , i know u talkng about the rear sway bar, it's underneath the car right?
but i cant find it..im having a feeling, maybe the previous owner pulled it apart and sold it.
but i can see the front sway bar...but not the rear...

oi cow cow.. rear sway bar is where your suspension control arms are. just near the front part theres like a squigly funky looking thing there runs along the back first then bends over to the front and bolts onto both sides of each of the control arms. if taken off looks kinda like huge bull horns..

wooooooo i used the SEARCH bar and look what it found !

BTW this is on an EM1 , it will be very similar on a EK4.
IF you have a STOCK on , it will be much thinner, and BLACK

nah seriously, i looked at the rear control arm before..just now....
i dun see no bars there..i know it bends...just like the front ones...
shit, i thik mine is gone.... *sigh

mm like what ben posted.. its the whiteline one but the one with upsidedown writing.. wonder why they made it like that =P.. but yours would be CONSIDERABLE SMALLER =p..

mm maybee someone took it off.. the ek4 should have the same sway bar as the integra vtir yeh ?

mm whiteline ? .. do you still have those mount things there ? the sorta loopy rubbery things that hold the swaybar in place.. not the bolts that bolt into the control arm.. im sure there is someone outthere thats upgraded and wants to sell of their old one..

oh by the way, since im gonna get the rear sway bar...
what other parts can impriove my handliing as well...
i know there's heaps....like upper front rear struce brace, lower ties ..
but what is the most recommended ones..cos i cant afford to buy every single bar and brace...

well im a bit towards saying that towerbars and things like chasis stiffeners will never get you much extra on the road as you dont push your car that hard to get the advantage of a stiffer body.. but theres always a side that says get them =P.. i seriosly think that if you want handling suspension is still the way to go.. performance first clutch flywheel.


well atleast thats what i been told =P.. but i love those type R front and rear tower bars..

well i think new sway will set you back a fair bit already.. unless u pull of a second hand one or a stock one..

how much u got to spend =P... ? the rear alone might set you back already.. if you know how to put it inyourself. it saves a fair bit too..

i think theres a type R rear strut tower brace running around on ozhonda forums zelda was looking at selling it for 150.
