I have been contemplating for a long time to turbocharge my civic.. It is an EK1, with a D16Y5 motor.. I was thinking of a bolt on turbo kit for now without having to change the internals.. I know because of this I will be running low boost, probably around 6-7 pound, but I can put up with that for a while, as any increase in power would be better hehe. By the way would I have to do mods to my i/h/e ?? And also the biggest problem at the moment is the fact that it is an auto.. :thumbdwn: But I am also considering doing a manual conversion (was quoted 1600 at Good Performance for conversion) I am also thinking of letting Good Performance take care of the turbo installation for piece of mind. What is your opinion guys?? YAY or NAY ???
By the way, I have had the car since brand new, I know exactly what the car has been through.

Cheers,
Alfy.

I reckon don't do it. Just sell your car and buy a manual EK4 or something.

unless you're attached to your civic, i'd say you should sell it..
plus you wouldn't have any trouble selling it, as alot of P platers look for small cars as their first car..

Yeah I was considering doing that too.. I have many other options, the main one being, dad was saying wait till I get my results from uni and I get mum's typeS.. but I dunno.. i am left in a puzzle on what to do. I was also considering waiting till the end of the year to have enough for a dc2r.
