Nightrider

I recently had my timing belt, water pump and plugs replaced on B16a.
Despite assurances, I don't think it the cam sprockets and crank pulley were aligned properly. Butt dyno tells me that vtec engagement point is like 7000rpm whilst Mid cam kicks in at 5000rpm.... After first running the timing was advanced a little to make it road worthy (must have been dizzy advance..) - but still switch over point remained the same.
I replaced my ignition leads yesterday which obtained only slight improvement.
Noticed my new plugs were blackened and sooty.
Any thoughts on how this could be rectified?
