Hi
has anyone gotten their sound system installed at Doran audio bankstown? if so how did they find it... I have got all the equipement and speakers that i bought off ebay brand new...at like half the prices in store here... Its a all pioneer setup with pro series yellow speckers.. 6inche splits, 6 inche 2 way, 3 way 6x9s, and a 2 ch amp for the front speckers, 4 ch amp for the rear and 4ch amp just incase if i wanted to add another subwoffer.later on..and the headunit i will be doing this through is pioneer DEH 7750....
I was hoping to get it installed at doron but wasnt sure about them...

Tony Doran is a good bloke yes. :)

Just on the subject of general system and install pricing. Remember the golden rule about cheap systems and cheap installations; it's exactly that. You get what you pay for. :(:(

i guess it just depends on who you are and what your willing to pay...

i have heard constantly that they were cheap but have been able to charge that bit extra since they have that reputation now...

so they do do great jobs but you gotta go get yourself a quote to find out..

Hey seems like you got a few speakers there is 6by9's going into the parcel tray and 6's in standard holes?
i've been to doran once few months ago used to work around the corner and the guys there had a real attitude problem and didnt eaven seem interested in my sale ended up spending $5,000.00 elsewhere and they didnt really want to talk installs untill the purchase was made
the other thing because you didnt buy it off them they will charge you a bit more
they can do a good job down there but it really is up to the installer and if he cares
what amps have you got powering thoses speakers i have got the 2 pairs of the splits and the 6 inch 2 ways yellow cone and they take heeps of power i've got 7550 DVDTV tri 4 volt pre out going to 2 400watt pioneer amps and i have them turned up 3/4 of the way

The key to finding the best store in AU is this:

* Check out all our websites.
* Ask around the various audio related websites.
* Go and talk to all of us.
* Ask to physically see all our work.

By the end of those four exercises you'll choose (and of course understand) why some of us have more work than we can undertake where as others are struggling... ;)

Tony Doran is a champ... He doesn't try to sell any one particular brand, just the best one for your needs. Don't know about the installs though, I did it myself and he was happy to answer all my questions. Top notch!
