Hey!

Want to take my car out for a run, was just wondering, what is a good rpm range to be launching at???

I have a relatively stock Gsi Teg, I/H/E, Forged gear box etc..??

Or is this just a trial and error thing? lol?

4500 damns u have to control the clutch heaps n have it down for a lil wouldnt you???
i launch at around 3000rpm and have to use a lot of clutch control to prevent excessive spinning.

EGk20a : 8k rpm launch ( hondata kpro - launch control)

In my opinion using a launch control set up makes it so easy to launch .

So its basically like a traction control function? once you take off at 8k rpm does the car's revs just die? I'm just curios to know how it works and what it feels like to drive

ProEcu does two stage launch control. works really well. but I still like the good old fasion way. get to know your car and tyres better :)

It depends on the material of tyre and tyre pressure.

Don't do it too high mate as, like you said, it will require some clutch control which means theres going to be heaps of stress on your clutch.
