sand the oxiode down and than you can buy this blue stuff, it's a protective coat for the terminals for it wont have the oxiode growing on it, can buy it at supercheap and stores like that

To get rid of it......just pour some boiling water over it (one terminal at a time so you don't short the battery.
To stop it coming up........use some Vaseline over the terminals!

I used some warm water to clean the area
Sand it down a bit if its a bit coarse
Then I used that protective coat stuff from super cheap and it leaves this layer over it...so me thinks its protecting the terminals

umm do you know what happens to vaseline when it becomes how? :D
i'd be using the terminal paint where it can be readily found at auto shops or some hi temp grease...

make shure you have good contact between terminals because this can causes the gases to creat the calcium buildup apparently hot tea is even better then just water and normal water isnt conductive only salt water is
you can get some conductive grease as well to make a barrier where vasoline or some other product can create a barrier and stop continuity
i think no one know what exactly u r talking about. maybe a photo can help. if u have some blue powder stuff around ur battery then i suggest u upgrade ur battery terminals.
