hey guys im looking at buying a civic eg but like the sedans. Im wanting to tune it for touge but i dont know if i can find the same amount of parts for the sedan as the hatch.......
any feed back would be appriciated
Dc2/Eg and most EK strut tower bar are interchangeable.
EG hatch and sedan suspension are basicly the same thing.
sedan is a good platform man, suusy parts r easy as to get.
id go a sedan, a lil differet but still damn cool in my book!

if the sedan wheel base is slightly longer it will be easyer to catch if it does start to go into a spin. weight is the biggest problem with a sedan.
i didnt think there was THAT much a weight diff in sedan vs hatch, nothing a gutted interior wont fix anyways ;)

Sedan for sure. I wanted one, but couldn't find one in as good condition as my hatch. Go the sedan. They look awesome.

For a start the weight difference is slight - EG sedan is apparently about 40-50kg's heavier due to alittle more weight in two etra doors , and alittle extra wheelbase.
All suspension is interchangeable between both including springs , shocks , swaybars and also wheels , engine etc.
Only aesthetic parts such as the bonnet , fenders , doors , bumpers etc are not directly swappable.
If you find parts for " EG" it will fit on the hatch in preference - and very likely to fit on the sedan as well.

ok so maybe not for "touge" but for track work... because if you are serious about a "touge" style car it won't be road legal.
But then again i watch too much BMI lol... maybe you just talking about suspension and bars hehehe.

Touge= mountain ey? cool. sort of like a Hill Climb? I've seen a 'classic car hill climb' and some movies of japanese drifters doing crazy things on mountains.... is that the same thing?
I wouldn't mind making my civic (92' Gl 1.5L) quicker off the blocks without leaving a huge dent in my purse. I've been told a new exhaust and a pod filter is the way to go. what do others think? is there something else i should be keeping in mind?
