OK peeps this is mainly directed at those who have a VTir factory fitted sunroof.
On many occasions my sunroof wont slide back. You can tilt it up then close but it still wont go. You try many different methods - as im sure we've all played with the 3 buttons but still says "no"

Sometimes it works and sometimes it wont.
Has anyone got any light they can shed on this ?

cheers :)

Check the wiring behind the sunroof buttons/controller... the plug may be loose.

does it sound like its jamming when you attempt to slide the roof open or does it sound dead ?

Check your contacts. I dont own a VTiR but it could be an electrical problem more than anything. Your contacts might have had condensation on them (which in turn turns into vapour/water) and could have rusted the switch etc. Just check out your switches if you have time, it could save you a bit of money on repairs :)

Worst case scenario is that your sunroof motor is dead....

Try a grease or a bit of RP7.. Unless there is a specfic honda one then that will more than likely do the trick. It has on the sunroof i did it to (Mazda 929)

I haven't had that happen to my car, but my skyline sunroof would do that all the time.
