Stock EG transformed into my JDM dream.. Opinions

Hey guys... just typed out what i wanna do with my next car which is definately gonna be an EG Hatch (happening as soon as i sell my current EG).. The pricing is all just estimated by myself and i was after some opinions and after some correcting in places i may be completely wasting money or where pricing estimates is completely off target (some areas ive allowed myself extra money to cover things).. I'll be doing all the labour myself (except internal work).. If u would do something different or if u know a better order of doing this.. let me know.. ALL opinions/advice is appreciated even negative. :)

Car
01. Cheap EG Hatch in either white/silver (E.F.I) $6000

Engine/Performance/Suspension etc
02. JDM B18c 1/2 cut $6000
03. New fluids, Timing belt, etc, etc, etc $500
04. Brake Upgrade $1000
05. I/H/E (Toda,Mugen,Spoon,HKS,Apexi? Unsure which) $2000
06. Coilovers (Im thinking Tein or maybe HKS Hypermax) $2500
07. Strut brace, Stabilizer bar etc.. $300
08. HD Clutch & Flywheel package (Toda, Exedy) $2000
Total(inc. car): $20,300

Wheels/Interior/Exterior etc
09. Lenso VE's white 16" (TE37 Replica's) + tyres $1500
10. JDM Front Lip $200
11. Colour Code Black Strips/Mirrors etc $300
12. JDM Tail Lights $500?
13. Either JDM Headlights or Angel eyes projectors(unsure yet) $500?
14. JDM Cluster $400?
15. Type-R gear shift boot $60
16. Mugen shift knob/park brake lever/pedals $400?
17. Complete stereo system inc. sub & amp(nothing to $$) $2000
18. Pair of Recaros and/or matching/retrimmed interior $3000+

Internal Work
19. Toda/Type-R cams, pistons, push rods etc etc.. honed and oversized bore, all sorts of things hopefully.. not exactly sure what atm though.. give me some ideas $5000+

COMPLETE TOTAL: $34,160+

Thats basically it for my dream car :) thats just a quick thing i typed up while i was bored.. i may even decide i wanna do internal work before i do anything to my interior/exterior... but how i typed it is how i'd like things to go... steps 1 - 8 are my priorities.. the others would be bonuses.

Any feeback would be great, and again, all my pricing is completely my own estimates.. do not use it as a guide, you'd be crazy if u did lol

Also.. IMO sometimes all the fun is in building your car.. depends though, if i had say a genuine JDM ITR, a car like that i wouldnt really wanna change much :)

Realisticly if u had 35g's plus lying around u woulndt waste it on an EG with a k20.
You would buy a brand new car thats worth 35g's +

you only thought about EG with k20 becuz u own a eg sedan and did research on how to make it faster.

the only cars from honda that people with 35g's plus would consider are the new dc5's or euro's.

i think ppl that do engine conversions don't have the cash rite at that time
the mods they do are over time .... and they don't wanna save up for that long to buy a better car
it is better to buy a faster car or nicer with that money and make it faster or nicer with the left over dosh

maybe source an EG6 and then build on that... stroke the engine and do the work you wish... you forgot to add CF hood hehehe

For that amount of money i'd go the K20A conversion :P.

You'll have better resale value imo and a much more unique car.

I might be blind, but i didn't see an ecu in there? anyway, i think your about on the money as far as price is concerned (rrp of course), but there will be bargains to be had along the way. Hang around for a while, you might find a hatch with a B18c in it already? i know there was one in the for sale section, and cars like this will bring your cost down considerably.

the $5k you planned on spending on internals didn't include fitting/labour did it??

I say live the dream, but plan it carefully otherwise you'll spend far more than you have to.

the EG is just an unreal looking car..

i said i was gonna drop a b18 in not k20...
k20 is bit too complicated for me.. rather an easy swap especially when i can use my engine mounts

i myself would prefer to do up an EG than buy a dc5 or euro.. just prefer the EG look, not saying the others are bad cars though

good luck! i think its mroe fun to spend 35k on modding your car then just going out and buying a stock s2k, casue its 35k and having yoru dream car.
seroiusly i rekcon if i bought s2k i would be going yay for a day, then going shit goto get new rims, lower it, maybe intake, apx lug nuts, ect ect.

this is a complete dream package and i can't ebelive there is so many negative comments. didin't hear this when the k20a dc4 was put on here.

i dont want a nissan, subaru, mazda etc.. I posted this here because its a honda site and i am a member of this site because i love :honda: i dont/never plan on owning a nissan.. if someone would prefer to spend there money on a skyline, wrx etc then so be it but what are u doing on a honda forum?.. each to there own, for $35k any car could be nice and/or quick dont u think. I realise some could be quicker or more powerful than others, but as i keep saying, i like the EG.. thats where the personal preference comes in.

i also dont wanna buy an expensive honda (s2k, dc5, euro etc) i dont have $35k all in one hit, it would take me ages to save that amount of money.. i'd prefer to buy bits and pieces as i make the money, which is what i plan on doing.. i wanna start off small ($6k civic is pretty small wouldnt u say?) and build from there, something i can save for and something i can keep on building. Making a gutless civic that usually wouldnt give many other makes/models a run for there money into something that will, and something i have built rather than buy basically stock.. that'd be very satisfying to me, something that has a sort of sleeper effect to it. When u see a s2k roll by, u know its fast.. when u see a EG roll by do u know its fast?

id prefer an EG with $30k worth of mods than a stock s2k that cost me $35k

btw.. i respect everyones opinions (even negative).. negative can sometimes be the best feedback, could save me from wasting cash.. and im starting to think id be better off with a EG6 (b16a) as few people mentioned and maybe stroke it out to a 1.8lt.. i gotta do some research on the differences between a 1.8 b16a and a b18c
