My Civic Is Now Running on 3cyl

ok on the way home it droped a cyl (so i think) it started running really bad like it was running on 3cyl and it stalled my friend in his Prelude was behind me and said it was just pouring out the white smoke. :cry:

What do you think it is?? :?

check your oil levels it usually determines the colour of the smoke your car produces, or if that fails check your injectors dont need cleaning or you can have water in your injectors which can often make it run like a dog, hope that helps some, cheers

my car is carby no injectors :D

Check your spark plugs, and give them a good clean, and check the spark gap. Check the leads. This has happend to me, and one of the spark plugs was all glogged up.

Clean the spark gap on the plugs with some fine sand paper.

Its most probably either of what i mentioned above, and the reason for all the white smoke is all the excess fuel going through the cyl's and not burning.

Hopefully its not something more sinister.

sounds like a head gasket mate - you need to do a compression test on all 4 cylinders

take the oil cap off - if there is milky oil you have got coolant in the oil...

I only just had my head all fixed after blowing a head gasket :x

i'll look into it in the next couple of days. i'll do a compresion test and see how i go :evil:
