OKay, Need to remove the a/c... Thinking about just taking it to my mech. to remove it - i want it done best way possible so everything can be replaced (if the time comes).

Now are there any problems with holes fromt he hoses? do these need to be blocked - I have no idea what needs to be done to these - so any help would be good...

Also - will i loose the ability to demist my front window? Iv been told i still will have the fan so i can demist but it wont be as fast?

ive removed it on my EG steve - and its a straight forward process.

Simply go to a auto electrician to remove all the gas - then simply remove the lines, AC motor + pulley off the engine ( simply cut the AC pulley belt ) .
Its a good 1 hr job of taking bits n pieces out.
Its best to remove EVERYTHING you can from the engine bay, and then seal the route back into the cabin - that way , if and when you want to reinstall the pipes havent corroded etc.
If u need help u know where i am at :)

Also , you wont miss the AC - unless you have sex alot in your car , or drive around in VERY heavy rain ( liek last week !) you wont ever realyl need it.
Just drive with the windows down to speed up the demisting process :)

shhhhhhh dammit. i was hopign that slipped out and no one would of taken it it lol !

ANYWAY - heavy moisture-makign can be a pain to defog without a AC if thats the correct way to explain - otherwise it will be fine :)

And Trav , to get the "gas" removed by a little vaccuum machine is about $20 cash . Nothing really. DO NOT let it out into the atmosphere .

I knew someone was going to ask this. Its because im getting afair bit of engine work done and some parts require to have the a/c out to make things alot easyer, free up space and better performance for the mods...

Ben - Thanks... if i get stuck i give ya a buzz!

Cause they are hard core racers!!!!! Plus what's wrong with letting the aircon out to atmosphere? Cause i accdential let it all out on my old car. I heard if i breathed any in it increases chances of cancer or somthing. Is dat for real?
